$4,000 for our 4th Year!

Undertoe Dance Project hopes you will join us in our annual fundraising initiative to raise funds for our 4th Annual New York Season. This year’s Anniversary Celebration will feature an exciting evening of dance showcasing both existing and new repertoire by the company over FOUR evenings February 23-26, 2012. We have an ambitious goal of $4,000 for our 4th Year, but know that with your help, we will be able to make this goal a reality!

This event requires a tremendous commitment from generous donors like you. Patrons who not only appreciate the contribution the arts have made in their life, but also those who believe the arts should be a part of everyone’s life. For all that dance and performance art have given you; we’d appreciate any donations you can contribute to meeting our goal of $4,000.

A donation from you as small as $10 will get us to this goal. If you are in a position to give more, we would welcome that, too!

With your tax deductible donation, your name will be recognized on all promotional materials and also be acknowledged in the Undertoe Dance Project newsletter and web page.

Funk Sweet!

Funk Sweet! is a work which showcases the choreography of Artistic Director Dana Fisch in conjunction with her two dance captains. This suite consists of three new fusion works, in which technique is disguised and contrasted by larger, simpler movements, and even some good old fashioned grooving that you might see any person do on the dance floor. Funk Sweet! is an upbeat and uplifting way for the audience to connect to dance, one of Ms. Fisch’s main goals.

Tappy Hour 2012 at Jimmy’s No. 43

Our popular adult tap class is back on Saturdays at Jimmy’s No. 43 and we have set our 2012 dates:

Open Session 5:30-6:30 PM (no tap shoes, no previous experience required)
Intermediate Session 6:30-7:30 PM (tap shoes and knowledge of tap basics needed)

An exciting take on tap and jazz dance!

Undertoe Dance Project does more than put tap dancers and jazz dancers together onstage. This new form of fused artistry creates a distinct and unique concert dance experience that engages audience members that are new to dance while the more experienced dance-goer can delve into the technical complexity of each piece. The movement is athletic yet graceful, aggressive yet smooth and challenges the conventional definitions of tap and jazz dance. We can’t wait to see you at a show!
